Latinos In Transit (LIT) is proud to have a dedicated staff working across the country, united by one mission: to advance and elevate professionals in the public transportation industry. While our reach is national, our home office is located in Laredo, Texas, within the El Metro Transit System Building at 1301 Farragut Street—a fitting hub for an organization built on mobility and growth.
At the helm is Christina Villarreal, Executive Director, whose visionary leadership has transformed LIT into one of the fastest-growing organizations in the transit industry. Under her guidance, LIT has expanded membership, multiplied program offerings, and built partnerships that strengthen workforce development nationwide.
Supporting this vision are Fernanda Uribe, Program Administrator, who leads the delivery of programs like the Leadership Academy and Mentorship Program, and Dionne Craig, Membership Coordinator, who connects with members and fosters the relationships that keep LIT strong. Together, they embody the spirit of service and innovation, ensuring that LIT continues to grow and create pathways for the next generation of transit leaders.
