Discover how Portland's diverse transportation modes—train, trolley, tram and Tilikum Crossing, Bridge of the People—have shaped its culture and mobility. Explore the history and innovation behind the city's transit systems, from the first post-war streetcar (trolley) to the nation's longest car-free bridge—for transit and active transportation, but no private autos! Soar the heights in one of the nation’s few urban aerial trams, and hop aboard Portland’s MAX, born out of the death of an eight-lane freeway project and the third light-rail system built in the U.S.
Please note: comfortable clothes and shoes are required
Tour capacity: 20 people
ADA Accessible Option: Transit options are available in place of the 0.52-mile stroll across the bridge and 0.30-mile walk to the tram.
