Submit your request to host a LIT-affiliated event. Ensure your event aligns with our mission and values, and bring LIT’s expertise to your next gathering!
Here’s What We Look For:
To ensure each affiliated event aligns with Latinos In Transit (LIT) values and goals, we evaluate requests based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with LIT’s Mission: Does the event support our organizational goals, values, and mission?
- Brand Impact: Will participation positively impact LIT’s brand reputation?
- Executive Attendance: Can the Board President or Executive Director attend? If so, stipends or travel reimbursement from the requesting organization are appreciated.
- Relevance to LIT Members: Is the event relevant to current or potential LIT members and the public transit industry, with perks like free or discounted registration?
- Open Access: Events open to all LIT members will receive priority; limited-spot events may not be approved.
- Sponsorship Support: Events that don’t require monetary contributions from LIT are prioritized.
- Risk Assessment: We review potential legal, financial, and operational risks.
- Board Member Support: Availability of board members for planning or on-site support is essential; the Executive Director should not be the sole coordinator.
- Policy Compliance: Events must adhere to company policies, including conflict of interest and code of ethics.
- Schedule Review: We consider any conflicts with LIT’s existing event calendar.
