The Latinos In Transit Employee Resource Group (ERG) Program is designed to support the formation, development, and sustainability of ERGs within public transportation agencies. The program's purpose is to provide ERGs with the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to foster an inclusive work environment that promotes the values, culture, and heritage of Latinos in the transportation industry. By aligning these ERGs with Latinos In Transit, the program ensures that the groups meet compliance standards, achieve their organizational goals, and contribute to the professional growth of Latino and non-Latino employees alike.

The program also aims to create a national network of ERGs that share best practices, provide mentorship opportunities, and engage in community-building efforts, all while promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the public transportation sector.

Discover how to effectively support and enhance your Employee Resource Groups with our comprehensive toolkit:

ERG Toolkit

The Employee Resource Group Toolkit is intended to empower employees of transit agencies and organizations with structured guidance, best practices, and actionable strategies to establish and enhance ERGs. This toolkit provides resources to foster inclusive work environments, support professional development, and encourage networking opportunities that advance the careers of minority employees within the industry.

The LIT ERG Toolkit is now available for download, offering guidance on best practices for starting and managing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). While membership is not required to access the toolkit, LIT offers ERG membership options for groups interested in branding themselves as LIT-endorsed or affiliated. Membership provides additional benefits, including access to exclusive ERG trainings and events. Download the toolkit today and take the first step in creating or enhancing your ERG!

Membership Structure
The Latinos In Transit ERG Membership Structure is designed to provide support to ERGs in public transportation agencies, ensuring they meet compliance standards, programming goals, and financial sustainability. The membership structure offers two levels of engagement, each providing distinct benefits and requirements for ERG groups.

  • Level 1: LIT Endorsed ERG
